December to Remember - 'time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin away'
Crystal Mountain – Hiking Queens
As the weather grows cold, the snow flies and the bells jingle we are reminded that a new year is upon us. My favorite things about this season are the wealth of activities, celebrations and people that keep us thankful we have all that we do as Americans. With so much noise and the doldrums of our politics, economy, celebrity and news I wanted to share things that make me smile and give me peace.

Snow sports in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska vary greatly. Among my hit list this year is Crystal Mountain, Chugach Powder Guides, SunValley, Mt. St. Helens, Stevens Pass, Alyeska Resort and some other secret spots for back country sledding (snowmobile). I will be participating with CMAC – Crystal Mountain Alpine Club’s Masters Program to see if this old guy can still run the gates. The USSA Skier’s Edge Masters National Championship will be held in Sun Valley, ID. this year between March 29th – April 2nd, 2010. Should be a great time with lots of smiles and snow, not to mention the best place to chillax anywhere.
So as the season progresses and we celebrate with friends and family remember fun, excitement and great times are just outside your door. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. God Bless America
