I picked up a 16Gb unit today at the Westside Olympia AT&T store. It was kind of a zoo and the process was a little odd. First my company ordered 10 on the first day orders were available online. We all know the rest of the story

It's gotten to be pretty typical of The Apple distribution model. I have to believe that it must be by design. Hype it so much that people are willing to bribe, camp out or pay a premium to get their hands on the product. If not by design, then it's totally annoying and an unnecessary stress on AT&T customers and staff.

I have put 5 hours on the device already, customizing and using every new feature. My favorite new feature is the ability to combine email accounts into one view and thread common email based on a 'subject' filter. Second up is speed, the phone is fast. The folder feature is great for organizing your apps and minimizing finger sweeps to access app pages.

All the other features are very cool. Camera is much improved and the FaceTime for video chat has more then a few implications for usage.

Apple has another game changer on their hands, nice job.
